Jason moved to Westexe in September 2021 with his family, but has lived in Tiverton for 20 years. His passion is the town and he serves on the Town Council. “Tiverton is a great place to live, but I want to make it better. Our community should be at the heart of everything we do”
Jason and his wife set up the Facebook group Tiverton Community Help and has 8.5k members.
Jason was part of the group the fought MDDC to keep the paddling pool open, and protested at the council meeting to change the decision.
“I am a self employed trainer and have trained local charities in first aid for free.”
“I’m a volunteer with the Ambulance Service and am a parent governor at a local primary school. I’m part of LIFT as we challenge those decisions that are wrong for the town, and support what’s right to make Tiverton great.”
Jason was elected in May 2023 as a Town Councillor and is the Deputy Chair of the Climate and Resilience Committee. Jason was the main driving force in rewriting the Emergency plan for Tiverton and, together with LIFT Cllr Chris Berry, has run Emergency Planning meetings with the public and community events to teach people CPR and how to use a defib. One session trained over 70 people!
